If you’re shopping for a supercar and you have to choose between a Lamborghini Gallardo and an Audi R8, then you’re spoilt for choice. But when it comes to an exhaust system for either, there is only one option: an RGM Techniflow system.
For nearly a quarter-century, RGMotorsport has been tuning, modifying, converting and upgrading premium brand performance cars and SUVs. An important part of this process is building exhaust systems that enable an engine to breathe at its best. Techniflow exhausts are the key to this and each outlet system is custom-built in our Motorsport workshop for a specific engine; a process achieved by using the finest stainless steel, welding techniques, and high having skilled artisans perform the physical work.
The result is the exhaust system as modern art. They look gorgeous, complimenting even something as exotic as a Lamborghini Gallardo. But importantly, function follows form and they unleash more power and torque. And while a stock Audi V10 (which is what is used in the Gallardo as well as the R8) engine sounds brilliant even on a bad day, with a Techniflow system it is guaranteed to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
Our First Stage upgrade to the R8/Gallardo comprises a full Techniflow system (included driver-adjustable tailpipe flaps that allow the volume of the system to be tailored to a driving environment), and a Unichip Q engine management system upgrade. This ‘piggypack’ engine computer enables our dynamometer tuning gurus to map and optimise fuel delivery parameters and ignition timing to take full advantage of the exhaust upgrade.
And the gains are significant: power increases from 386kW to 476kW and torque climbs from 530Nm to 606!
